The Tuscan’s Fiesta De Los Vaqueros Rodeo is the special event for the people of Arizona and those who love adventure sports. It is one of the Arizona’s largest spectator events known for its largest non-motorized Parade in the country. This year in 2009, The Tuscan Rodeo Parade will enter its 84th year, but each year it is presented with the same spirit as was in 1925.
This year’s 84th annual Tuscan Rodeo Parade will be held on 26th of February at 9 am in the morning in the area of Ajo and Park Avenue. Apart from the main attraction the Tuscan Rodeo Parade there are seven professional Rodeo events and other events, which will be commenced on 21st February and continue till 1st of March 2009.
The Professional Rodeo Events will feature Bareback riding, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Team Roping, Women’s Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. In other events you will come across Dodge Mutton Bustin, Arizona Junior Rodeo, Reach Program for School Groups, Tough Enoug to Wear Pink Day and Mike Cervi Jr. Team Roping.
Off course the Parade remains the best part of the show were all traditional modes of transportation are seen right from the all types and manners of horse drawn carriages, buggies and wagons. The Tuscan Rodeo Parade Museum is also treat to the eyes, it has rich collection of old horse drawn vehicles and variety of other displays revealing the early history of Tuscan.
But unfortunately the museum open for few month especially during the Parade. A new brick in the wall is this year Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup, is the Tucson Rodeo Parade Grand Marshal 2009, who will lead the parade.
