Some events do sound weird and strange but when we get actually involved in it, we realize how amazing and entertaining they are. This is what holds true for The International Book Festival which is held annually worldwide in the libraries to celebrate the birthday of French Foodie and the author of Physiologie Du Gout, Jean- Anthelme Brilliant-Savarin. This Book Festival is unique which not only testes your culinary skills but most importantly your imaginative skills.

The edible book festival is nothing but a competition were people use edible products which is given final shape of book, book character, book cover or a pun of a book title. All the entries are displayed, judged and the best one is awarded. This is not all, the best part is you actually get to savor these creations. From the time this event has started it has got good response and is considered the funniest activity people have ever done with their family.

This year too on the first week of April libraries worldwide will have their edible book masterpiece displayed. Its All About Books, Food & Fun. People of Kansas can enjoy this event at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library on 3rd April, while the people of Atlanta, Georgia can enjoy it on 28th March 2pm at The Gallery at The Art Institute of Atlanta. In Illinois the festival will be held at University of Illinois – Urbana College and Deptt. Associations on 31st March 11:30 am.
