Being a blogger and writing about events of USA, my love for my country has increased manifold. I am amazed to find so many events happening in USA which has nothing to do with USA or its culture and tradition. It is a place were events of all the existing countries are celebrated.
May it be Chinese New Year Celebration, St. Patrick’s Day and so on, the list is endless. Now in the month of June there is one such event which is originally from Russia, ‘The Russian Heritage Festival’. The New York Community of Emigres from the former Soviet Union which has grown very strong in the tri-state area and is responsible for organizing the month long celebration.
We Americans are so very fortunate that we are well versed with all the cultures and traditions of the countries from all over the world, simply because there are immigrants from all over. Russian Heritage Festival is very popular and is considered to be one of the major events happening in New York.
This year the 7th Annual Russian Heritage Festival will have more excitement and fascination as compared to what was there last year. With its ever increasing popularity more and more people are enjoying and are interested in getting the dose of Russian culture through this festival which comes up with art exhibitions, health, sports fairs, business expos, traditional music, authentic Russian cuisine and dance performances.
Being a month long celebration there are several events scheduled on different dates, leaving option for the visitors to go for the events of their choice. The events are categorized into Public Events, Private Events, Public Exhibits and Paid Events. So are planning to be there?
