Saengerfest also known as Sangerbund is another example of a festival which does not has its origin in US. The festival hails from Germany but has successfully made its presence felt on the American soil since 1850. This year Nordostlicher Sangerbund will have its 50th anniversary of celebration in USA.
Sangerfest means a singer’s festival and is all about music, singing and choral performance. The fest will bring in German’s musical extravaganza in the form of folk songs, operetta, soloists, classical numbers performed by approximately 300 voices and the National Gallery of Art Orchestra . All this will be followed by the Grand Ball which will include elegant dinner, cash bar, dancing till midnight and silent benefit auction.
Experience this grand gala musical event which will be presented by the Washington Sangerbund , singers from Germany and member choruses of the NOSB which will take place from 22nd May to 24th May at National Building Museum in Washington DC. The Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel very close to the National Building Museum will be the host hotel and a location for several major activities.
