Little Rock derived its name from a small rock formation south of Arkansas River. It is the capital city of Arkansas and also the largest city in the state. The city holds number of attractions that suit every taste. Campers have several options in and around Little Rock. Maumelle Park on the Arkansas River has 129 campsites, restrooms, showers and RV hook-ups, as well as a boat ramp. Kids and the young at heart will enjoy the interactive scientific exhibits at the Museum of Discovery. Wild River Country Water Park is a great place to wear out your little ones. The Little Rock Zoo is a very good facility and features the Giraffe Exhibit, Lemur Island and the Children’s Farm. Works by Cézanne, Jackson Pollock and Georgia O’Keefe are on display at the Arkansas Art Center.

Eureka Springs in Arkansas is built around the hot springs and mountainous lake and river-rich landscape in a steep Ozark Mountain valley. It has been among the celebrated resort towns for over a century. Eureka Springs is known for its spas. The two best historic hotels in the area, the Basin Park Hotel and the Crescent Hotel, have access to excellent day-spas. It has two scenic rivers, one gorgeous lake and a nice stretch of the Ozark Mountains to sport a number of outdoor adventures. The beautiful 31,700-acre, 70-mile long Beaver Lake has nearly 500 miles of coastline and the fishing here is great. There are a number of absolutely fascinating caves to explore in the Eureka Springs area. Whippoorwill Cave and Ozark Cave are the favorites.
