Blanchard Springs

At an elevation of 400 feet Blanchard Springs continues to be a popular destination offering much more beyond refreshing dips in the cool waters. Sylamore Creek, a clear spring-fed stream, meanders through the area parallel to the Sylamore Creek Trail. The campground complex itself is pretty peaceful at the busiest of times.

The campground is composed of one loop and a spur and is heavily wooded with a mixture of hardwoods and cedar and attractive Dogwoods. Just walk from the recreational area to Blanchard Springs to the beachy spot that has a wonderful spectacle of water pouring out of the mountain side. Blanchard Springs is an excellent destination campground that offers swimming, wading and fishing.

Open all year round it is has paved parking along with group RV sites. With group tent sites and wooded sites too the area has plentiful tables and grilles. A waste station, potable water, flush toilets and hot showers are some of the other amenities.

The lake offers swimming as the only water sports activity besides wading in Sylamore Creek. You can fish in smallmouth bass in North Sylamore Creek thats stocked with trout. Swimming holes and creeks, fishing, camping, group and individual picnic areas are what you can enjoy here besides the Caverns located here that are a major attraction. Blanchard Springs are lots of fun for every family member.
