In Arkansas, great number of people visits Hope every summer to get the glimpses of some of the finest varieties of watermelons on show. Hope has been famous for its watermelons and the downtown earlier caught the limelight by producing the biggest weighing watermelon in the world. Hope Watermelon Festival also features the country’s largest Arts and Crafts show, music performances by country’s renowned music artistes, gospel singing and of course, hordes of watermelon activities. Watermelon contests include open watermelon contest and politically correct watermelon eating contest, seed spitting contest and also the giant watermelons contest. Auction of winning watermelons is also done at the later stage of the festival. Festival ground is filled with over 300 Arts and Crafts stalls, car show and loads of fun and entertainment.

Helena in Arkansas reminds of the legendary King Biscuit Time – the longest running radio show – every October with the most spectacular and the biggest blues festival in entire America named after this show. King Biscuit Festival, a three-day event, records large number of music lovers from across the nation and rest of the world. The artists performing at the festival are selected in regard to the extent of their creations touching the legendary of Sonny Boy Williamson and Rober Lockwood Junior.
