Preserving those green environs in richly facilitated city parks in Arkansas seems to be the prime concern among civic authorities. You can see a number of well preserved historic sites, keenly maintained theme parks and natural areas in the middle of the towns. While the state parks are normally too far to visit quite often, city parks prove to be the best compensation. Little Rock boasts number of parks around the city’s lively activities. War Memorial Park is one of the oldest parks of Little Rock featuring golf, fishing, picnicking and lots of fun for kids. Dinosaur World in Eureka Springs features the lively 40 feet tall statue of world’s largest King Kong and the replicas of oldest species of dinosaurs that existed. Watch out for some of the largest alligators in the world at the Aligator Farm and Merman in Hot Springs.
Arkansas City Parks Fort Smith Park Eureka Springs Gardens Riverfront Park
Located on Rebsamen Park Road this is a very popular spots especially during the summer. Alongside the Arkansas River it has eight busy pavilions, three soccer fields, two playgrounds and a boat dock. Murray Park is the place for fishing tournaments. This city park right by the River offers an area for plenty of fun things for families where you can take your pets too.

The playground and picnic areas include pavilions and more facilities. The park also has access to Murray Lock and Dam for boat docks and fishing as also biking and walking trails. This pleasant little park features a large playground, green soccer field and shaded picnic areas. Offering boat launches for fishermen and pleasure cruisers there is plenty of parking here. A neat bike lane runs out to the park providing a nice alternative to city traffic.
Murray Park
This Park located at 1 W Center St is bang on Fayetteville's Downtown Square. In 1978, the City of Fayetteville decided to utilize the Downtown Square to create a public park and so the Square Gardens were born. Each year thousands of residents enjoy the gardens and plants around the historic Old Post Office and around the businesses of downtown. In the Fall the area is home to the Lights of the Ozarks Festival. Nearly 200,000 people visit the Square Gardens during the month of December. The Square Gardens is also host to the Farmer's Market every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings when farmers set up booths to sell plants, flowers, fruit, vegetables, art and more. There is good enough seating areas in this plaza park.
