Arkansas has a number of year round natural attractions to keep outdoor
adventurers busy, and the winters aren’t normally harsh enough
to preclude off-season excursions. As far as the tourism season goes,
from December to March things in Arkansas slow down quite a bit, but
rates for hotels go down appreciably. The holiday season is a good time
for sightseeing visitors to drive through the state and check out the
Trail of Holiday Lights, when thousands of homes are decorated for the
Christmas season.
