As may be expected in the Grand Canyon State, Arizona is home to a large number of excellent state parks that are not just wonderful places for play but also for stay. The Arizona State Parks are parts of the state preserved for their cultural, natural & recreational resources. Arizona's state park system is inclusive of state parks, state historic parks & other designated lands such as recreation & natural areas. At present there are 30 state parks units in Arizona.
Arizona State Parks River Island State Park Lake Havasu State Park Alamo Lake
Located in Lake Havasu City near the famous London Bridge, the Lake Havasu State Park has a scenic shoreline offering natural trails, beautiful beaches, convenient campsites & a range of recreations. With endless water-based recreations like fishing, boating, water skiing, etc on offer at the Lake Havasu State Park, the place is truly a haven for water-sport enthusiasts. In addition, the state park offers 47 campsites, 3 boat ramps, a special event, picnic & beach area and the 1.5 mile Mohave Sunset Trail winding along the park’s shoreline that makes it an ideal place for hiking. A key attraction of the park is the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden that features the diverse life existing in the park.
Lake Havasu State Park
River Island State Park offering everything from fun-filled water adventures to desert landscape to scenic panorama is truly a haven for campers. In addition, the state park offers a sandy beach, 37 campsites, a boat launch area & a cove. The River Island State Park is a popular destination especially during summers owing to the variety of water-based recreations it offers like, fishing, swimming, boating, jet skiing, camping, etc. Winters at the park are ideal for fishing and camping. A year-round tourist destination, the River Island State Park is the place for exploring a variety of cultural & recreational resources.
