Overlooking the Grand Canyon
The red desert landscape of Arizona is home to a myriad of natural wonders, most of which can be visited in the many State Parks. The Grand Canyon is the most famous example, but other sites like Canyon De Chelly, Sunset Crater, Montezuma Castle and Petrified Forest National Park are certainly worth a day or two (or more) of exploration.

Pipe Spring National Park: The fascinating underground stream found here is definitely worth a look.

Sunset Crater National Monument: This is the regions youngest dormant volcano.

Tonto National Monument: This monument offers a fascinating look at 13th century Native American culture.

Walnut Canyon National Monument: The Sinagua people made their home here for 500 years before the arrival of Columbus.

Wupatki National Monument: This is a collection of ancient dwellings, carved into the Arizona landscape nearly 1000 years ago.
