This Midwestern-style course features grass from tee to green on each hole. Over 6,000 pine trees were planted in 1997, which will make this a unique southwestern course at maturity. Water hazards come into play on five holes. The fairways are wide, and the large greens are undulating. There are many subtle elevation changes that greatly enhance the panoramic views of the desert and mountains, along with the Phoenix and Scottsdale skylines. "Golf Digest" rated this facility as the 17th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. The Chuck Hogan Learning and Performance Center are located on the premises.
