This links-style course features plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers. Large, red rocks backdrop many holes and add to the scenic beauty. The signature hole is #10, a 210-yard, par 3, which is highlighted by cathedral-sized rocks around the green. The Southwestern Section Seniors Tournament has been played here in the past. In 1996, "Golf Digest" rated the Sedona Golf Resort as the 4th "Best Public Course" in the State of Arizona. The same publication also rated it as the 10th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 13th in 1997-98. Pull carts aren't allowed on the course. The 5,637-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 70.6 and a slope of 116.
