  • Chiricahua National Monument

The Chiricahua Mountain and ensuing rock formations are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. The blast is responsible for Chiricua’s strange “monuments” and monoliths, making it a popular haven for Arizona hikers, geologists, and historians. The ensuing national park and protected area now stretches to around 12,000 acres, assuring the site will remain undeveloped and awe inspiring for generations to come.

The land surrounding Chiricahua Mountain is full of diverse wildlife, so don’t be surprised if you come across a wide array of native birds and various critters scurrying for shade. Amazing spires and monoliths climb skyward as a result of slow erosion, and continue to be a point of curiosity for Arizona adventurers.
