Lake Havasu City is considered to be the hometown of the historic London Bridge, on the east shore of Lake Havasu on the Colorado River border of California and Arizona. The city was first established in 1963 as a self-sufficient, planned community.

It possess the most popular beach, Windsor Beach, a wonderfully developed area in the Lake Havasu City, Arizona, just north of the well known London Bridge. Both the Windsor Beach and Cattail Cove make the Lake Havasu State Park, a lover's paradise. The temperatures in summer is about 106 during the day and the upper 70s at night. Winter daytime highs are in the upper 60s, and nighttime lows are in the upper 30s.
    
 
Windsor Beach is most popular for daytime use, camping, and launching all varieties of watercraft. It has new group campground that is available by reservation. The beach has a huge amount of amenities. The facilities include restrooms/showers (handicapped accessible), waste disposal, group use area, fishing, boating, boat ramp, picnic area, hiking trails, and shade ramadas. It has a lot many camping units, that include 75 drive-in sites & 55 boat access only sites. Hours vary at the on-site visitor center; stay limit is 15 days. It has a wide range of boating rentals.
