  • Colorado River Beach

Colorado river that flows between Arizona and California has a n 18-mile stretch between the Parker Dam and Headgate dam. On that stretch of land, one of the most popular sand beach is located along the Parker Strip. It is found on the Buckskin Mountain State Park.

You can observe and enjoy a varied wildlife, along with the recreational opportunities along the river. The beach provides a scenic respite, mountain hikes, a desert escape and fun-filled water adventure. It has a campground, cabana sites, hiking trails, restrooms, showers, boat ramp, picnic area, basketball and volleyball court, playground, restaurant, camp store, arcade, gas dock, and ranger station.
    
 
During the summer, the beach is filled with tourists enjoying swimming and other beach activities. It is also popular for boating, jet skiing and camping. In the winter, visitors appreciate the mild climate and enjoy camping, fishing and hiking in this area. This is an year-round destinations for those who want to discover a variety of recreational and cultural resources.

Just close to the beach, you can find The River Island Unit, which is ideal for tent campers and provides a scenic respite, a desert escape, or a fun-filled water adventure.
