Owing to the fact that the state of Arizona shares a border with Mexico, the number of Mexican eateries in the state is higher as compared to any other cuisine. An interesting thing to note is that the Southwest cuisine with hot peppers & some spiciness is very much similar to Mexican cuisine. The southwest cuisine besides its Mexican influence is also largely influenced by the Spanish, North Americans & the cowboys. Some of the classic dishes of Arizona include, chili corn carne, stuffed peppers, tacos & the unmatched cheese crisps. One city to produce the best crispy & cheesy delights is Tucson. While several new restaurants have sprung across various cities of Arizona, few historical restaurants can still be found in places like Tombstone & Prescott.
