Cave Springs Campground
Located at the northern end of Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona, the Cave Springs Campground is the largest of its kind along Oak Creek. Of the total 78 campsites, 11 are located along the creek meaning that fishing is right at your doorstep. Just a few miles north of Slide Rock State Park, Cave Springs is a great place for outdoor picnics & recreations like swimming, boating, fishing, etc. Oak Creek is also an incredible destination for hiking with the "Call of the Canyon" offering wonderful day hikes. The best time to visit the Cave Springs Campground is during April 15 to September 23. One of the best spots for RV day trips is the Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson Mountain Park. Set in a sparsely developed, quite section of the Sonoran Desert, the campground is within easy reach of several attractions like the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum less than 2 miles away. Other great attractions for the day-trippers are the Saguaro National Park offering several hikes & nature trails and the Bajada scenic loop which is a great place for picnics. Just down the road is the Old Tucson Studios where over 300 movies & commercials were filmed. The Gilbert Ray Campground is accessible all round the year. |
