North Star has a fully stocked pro shop and a cozy café with a viewing deck where golfers can relax after a few rounds.
North Star’s open grassy meadows attract a wide variety of native Alaskan species; they even include an animal checklist on its scorecard. Visitor can try and spot red backed voles in the deep rough, hawks, owls, eagles, red fox, lynx, ducks, ravens and moose. If a raven or fox steals a golf ball, a replacement may be dropped without penalty.
North Star’s underlying permafrost creates an ever-changing landscape where no 2 shots are the same. This generates great interest and variety as a golfer progresses through the links.
