North Star has a fully stocked pro shop and a cozy café with a viewing deck where golfers can relax after a few rounds. The courses’ open grassy meadows attract a wide variety of native Alaskan species like red backed voles in the deep rough, hawks, red fox, lynx, ducks, ravens and moose. They even include an animal checklist on its scorecard. If a raven or fox steals a golf ball, a replacement may be dropped without penalty.
