The Anchorage RV Park, on the northeastern edge of the city, is conveniently located about 10 minutes from downtown. It is the newest and nicest campground in the Anchorage area. The park is wooded and secluded yet close to the Glenn Highway. During our stay for our feature in July 2001, there were numerous flowers blooming and the grounds were well maintained. A desk with two modem hookups is available in the lounge along with a large television, fireplace, comfortable chairs and couches. A tour and information desk is also available in the main building. The store has food, RV items, and souvenirs for sale.
