A couple at Cathedral Caverns State Park
Cathedral Caverns State Park is located in Alabama just minutes for the town of Grant. The park has a well-deserved national reputation as one of the best scenic attractions in the American South.

Cathedral Caverns are home to flowstone walls, stalagmite forests and Goliath, one of the world's largest stalagmites, a column that reaches the ceiling of the cave 45 feet over-head. Even the opening to the cave itself is impressive, measuring a massive 126 feet wide and 25 feet high. Inside the caverns are roughly 4,000 feet long and feature 8-foot wide, wheelchair-accessible, concrete walkways. Visitors can marvel at fantastic rock formations like Big Rock Canyon, Mystery River, Stalagmite Mountain and The Frozen Waterfall.

Cathedral Caverns State Park is open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with guided tours available every hour. The cave maintains a comfortable 60-degree temperature all year round, so visitors are welcome at any time.

Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-12. Kids 5 and under get in free of charge.
