This resort offers two regulation 18-hole courses playable in three 18-hole combinations. The Dogwood Course has tree-lined fairways, a standard cut of rough, and small, undulating greens that have medium speed. The Azalea Course underwent some renovations in 1996, including the redesign of holes #8 and #12, extensive tree pruning and the addition of several bunkers. The Old Course, also referred to as "The Old Rotation", is a selection of eighteen holes from both the Azalea and Dogwood courses. The front nine is referred to as the "Old Azalea" and the back nine as the "Old Dogwood". This course exemplifies Perry Maxwell's original 1947 par 70 design, with oak-lined fairways, small strategically bunkered and gently contoured greens. The "Old Course" has hosted "Shell's Wonderful World of Golf" matches. The courses were built on rolling terrain, but beware, the locals say that there are many more hills than normal for this particular region. The club's signature hole is #14 on the Azalea Course, a 521-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to a beautiful island green.
