This is the only museum in the world dedicated to Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, located in the bottom floor of a house in Montgomery, where the couple lived for less than a year in the winter of 1931-32. Since the South does love its literary tradition, you see furniture from Zelda's childhood home in Montgomery and the couple's photographs and letters. Although their time in this house was brief, its literary significance is great. It was here that Scott worked on Tender Is the Night and Zelda began her only published novel, Save Me the Waltz. This is a unique museum offering 25 minute video, photos, articles, partial manuscripts and Scott's books in many languages. Also featured are some Sayre (Zelda’s family) memorabilia, portraits of Scott & Zelda, and Zelda’s famous paintings. One will experience the most lyrical moments while reading Zelda’s love letters to Scott. The museum is especially appealing to lovers of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s literary works.
