Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham

Erected in 1959, the Birmingham Museum of Art is located in the heart of the city’s cultural district & features an excellent outdoor sculpture garden. This Museum of Art founded in 1951 features over 24,000 paintings, drawings & decorative arts & is said to have one of the finest collections in Southeast US. The sculptures & other pieces of art represent several diverse cultures including African, European, Asian, Native American & Pre-Columbian culture. In addition, the museum also houses remarkable Kress Collection of Baroque & Renaissance paintings & decorative arts from late 13th century and European decorative arts from 18th century.

Mobile Museum of Art, Mobile

The Mobile Museum of Art was founded in 1963 by the Mobile Art Association. This art museum deigned by the Architects Group of Mobile is located in the city-owned Langan Park & features a remarkable collection of decorative arts from southern United States, Europe & the Americas. In addition, the infinite exhibition programs hosted by the art museum vary from contemporary to historical to a diverse array of educational programs. The Mobile Museum of Art is home to numerous travelling & permanent collections. Permanent collections at the museum include Asian & African collection featuring a selection of art works by Chinese, Japanese, Thai, African & Turkish artists.
