When to visit:

The peak seasons for visiting Alabama are spring and summer. Spring in Alabama is beach weather, and the beaches fill up fast. Summer is slightly less crowded thanks to the famous deep-southern heat, but remains a busy time of year never the less, and prices stay on the high-side for the most popular vacations spots.

Though there are many year-round attractions in Alabama, winter and autumn are not popular seasons. Winters in Alabama are warmish and see little in the way of snowfall, so winter sports are next to nonexistent and the scenery is lacking. The state is not noted for its fall foliage either. Still, mild weather makes off-season trips more comfortable for outdoor adventures than some other destinations.
